A hospitality professional and avid believer in naturally grown and sustainably harvested wild foods. Originally from a small farm town in Ontario Canada I settled down in the coastal mountains nearly 10 years ago calling Whistler my new home.
Mushroom foraging was ingrained in me at a young age while pushing through the forests in search of wild mushrooms with my father, an avid forager, teaching me the ins and outs along the way.
Working with some of the largest food groups for 20 years I understood the importance of local, fresh food to chefs and households in my community. 7 years ago I opened Whistler’s first indoor growing facility specializing in the small scale production of gourmet mushrooms. Now, nearly 8 years later I have moved the program to beautiful Pemberton British Columbia where my team and I specialize in growing a wide array of superfoods, indoors, in controlled environments. And it brings me great pride to offer those naturally grown, healthy superfoods to my surrounding communities.

Tiny Farms Co. has humble beginnings. Scott, the founder, was listening to a podcast featuring a longevity expert in 2019 who introduced him to Sulfurophane, an extremely potent chemo-protective compound in broccoli sprouts and micro-greens. From that point onwards, the seed of curiosity was planted. Two years later, he discovered micro-greens after researching regenerative farming methods. The nutritional and environmental benefits were undeniable and Scott started to see an opportunity for him to bring micro-greens to Whistler. The dots were connected, and Tiny Farms Co. was born.
More recently, an opportunity to sell and distribute mushrooms and other superfoods has presented itself. Tiny Farms Co. now offers a suite of superfoods to distributors, restaurants, grocery stores, and individual households.
